May Collaboration!

Hey loves! I hope everyone had a great weekend...
and that you aren't paying for it today!

Today I have a few great mood boards to show you!

A few weeks ago, I was asked to join a few other bloggers in a fun blog series. We were all sent one picture to design a mood board around.

This was our inspiration:

This is what we came up with:

Me:

I wanted to do this room in two different ways! I was inspired by this Clarence House fabric!

Don't you just love it??

I think this room is fun for a child but can also grow with them:) This would also be great for a shared room or a gender neutral nursery!

Hey guys - I'm Amy from The Blissful Bee! I am a designer and photographer based out of Texas and I love to blog about my creative adventures. Make sure to check out my blog if you would like to see more of my designs:)

Hi! It's Samantha...the Designer in Teal. I'm excited to be joining in on the collaboration again this month. This fresh color palette inspired me to create a relaxing spa like ladies restroom. I typically do designs on living rooms, bedrooms and offices so this was a refreshing change. I hope you will stop by to see the details and resources so that you can recreate the look. Also, because I am trying to build a portfolio, you can get a custom mood board from me for free!

carissa from carissa miss here. lucky for me i got to work on one of my most anticipated boards...a little girl's room for my not-so-little-anymore girl! we are hoping to transform her bedroom from nursery/toddler room to sophisticated chic little girl room. i've been working on the design in my head pretty much since she was born:) her nursery wasn't ever really anything but a hodge-podge of handmedowns and clearance items so i've been waiting until she had a space of her own i could slowly save up and design the perfect room. here's the fun inspiration board! come visit me to see all the details and sources!

I had so much fun with this ladies! I can't wait to do it again next month:)

Make sure you visit everyone's blog to get the details!

Update Your Room

This week, we're working with what you've got!

Jen wants to update her family room but has a few existing
pieces that need to be incorporated.

Right now, the walls are blue and she's wanting a light and airy feel.

Let's see if we can accomplish that for her!

We've kept the existing sofa and rug and the ottoman is being reupholstered.
The room will have a completely different feel with a fresh coat of paint, and bright and run pillows.

I can't wait to see the finished product!

Come link up with us!

Welcome: House Tour

While browsing Pinterest yesterday, I came across this beaut
and just had to share it!

You'll thank me- I promise:)

It's not often that I will investigate an image on Pinterest but when I saw this, I had to. And boy, was I glad I did!

This 7,000square foot Texas home has 5 bedrooms,5 bathrooms
and a whole lot of style.
Unfortunately, it is no longer for sale and the designer wasn't listed.

Enough talkin'-start lookin'

Welcome. I wish I could tell you this was my home...

 such a neutral living room

As you can see, they carried the same curtains throughout the house

look at these old floors!
and that door!

One lucky husband to have a billiard room.
I do think I could live with this though

Ok, - I absolutely HATE t.v's above fireplaces.
But I'd live with it if this were my home:)

I am in love with these beams
So much great open space. I wonder if they entertained a lot?

A lot of counter space in the kitchen. I like how light and airy it is.

In the butlers pantry you can see a close up of the backslash. Are you a fan?

The guest bathroom...

And the upstairs hallway
Once again, these floors!

I'm pretty sure I love everything about this master.
The beams, the high ceiling...

The private sitting area...

And we can't overlook this bathroom. Honed limestone, a great bathtub and an open shower (now that is how you do a glass shower).
I've always liked ottomans in bathrooms.

A lucky little girl sleeps in this room.

How pretty is this bathroom? I think pretty is the best word to describe it!
Perfect for a little girl- or an adult.

And the nursery...
notice the wall to wall seagrass

Off of the nursery is this timeless bathroom.

I adore this playroom. It's not full of furniture which leaves the kids plenty of room to play. Also that ceiling- I want one!

I would spend every night out here.
Eric would love to grill and watch t.v. at the same time.

and then there is the pool. Do I even need to say anything about it?

If you don't want to swim, you can hang out here.

See. Told ya!
It's a gorgeous house

I wonder what the new owners have done with it?
I'd love to see this woman's new house.

Multiples

I have a fear that one day I'm going to have triplets.
Two girls and one boy.

I'm not sure why I fear this- I just have since I was little.

Years ago, I lived with my cousins for 2 weeks after
they had precious twin girls.

Jennifer reassured me that I was going to have triplets.
She did the swinging necklace test.
Sure enough, it was girl, boy, girl
Remember you said you would move in with me:)

Great.

Here are some precious "multiples" rooms!

And just because I couldn't resist...
