Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary

Fairy, Fairy, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With seersucker bunting, and a little picket fence
and pretty rocks all in a row.

Today we had so much fun with Kendall making fairy gardens! (If you're following me on Instagram, you already know this.)

They were so cute painting each piece and planting the flowers. I should have grabbed enough supplies for Shannon and I to make our own:)
We had just as much fun as they did!

Supplies:
  • a pot (we used terracotta so we could paint it)
  • soil
  • small wooden birdhouse (we got ours from JoAnn's)
  • acrylic paint
  • small picked fence (also from JoAnn's)
  • flower of your choice
  • mini bunting banner
  • glitter(aka fairy dust)

Have the kids paint everything-the pot, the fence, the birdhouse, the rocks
(you could also use seashells, bells, beads-anything really.
Let the paint dry and then let them help you plant the flower and arrange their garden. After that, sprinkle with "fairy dust" dust to attract fairies!

It's that simple!

It's such a fun and easy project!
How cute would this be to do at a birthday party?

What are some fun crafts to do over the summer?

Under The Sea 1st Birthday

I can't believe Marshall will be ONE! Man how time flies.

This will be a busy month for me...getting ready for Wyatt's Train party and planning Marshall's "Under the Sea" party!

Here is a little something I am working on for Marshall's invites!

If you want this invitation, email me and I will
be happy to change the wording!

How to Know Who to Marry!

I came across this pin yesterday and I think it's quite hysterical.
I could totally see a few kids saying some of these answers.

So there ya go. If you had any doubts on whether or not you're with the right person, just ask these kids!

I thought it was just too funny not to share!

Since he loved his teachers and classmates oh so much, an end of the year gift was a must!

Have a great weekend everyone! I see boats, poptails, the beach and a whole lot of fun in my future!

Classroom Projects

So tonight I'm going to First Presbyterian Preschool's Auction. This will be a first for me! Each class makes 1-2 art projects to auction off as well as individual pieces and donated items from local businesses.

I have  not seen the projects the kids have created but here is a roundup of a few things I would do!

How cute are the stepping stones? I would paint something else on them along with the numbers. My mom painted some really really cute ones when I was younger. My friends and I loved playing on them.

I think the kids would have so much fun making one of these and painting the frame!

This i would let the class paint a plain piece of paper and then put the cut out on top!
