Ice Ice Baby

I'm tired of this weather.

I know everyone in florence was excited last weekend
when they got snow- this weekend the high is 70.

Today, we have a LOT of ice on the ground.

All of this yucky ice got me thinking about a few pinterest images.

Too bad our ice doesn't look like this...

Welcome: House Tour

While browsing Pinterest yesterday, I came across this beaut
and just had to share it!

You'll thank me- I promise:)

It's not often that I will investigate an image on Pinterest but when I saw this, I had to. And boy, was I glad I did!

This 7,000square foot Texas home has 5 bedrooms,5 bathrooms
and a whole lot of style.
Unfortunately, it is no longer for sale and the designer wasn't listed.

Enough talkin'-start lookin'

Welcome. I wish I could tell you this was my home...

 such a neutral living room

As you can see, they carried the same curtains throughout the house

look at these old floors!
and that door!

One lucky husband to have a billiard room.
I do think I could live with this though

Ok, - I absolutely HATE t.v's above fireplaces.
But I'd live with it if this were my home:)

I am in love with these beams
So much great open space. I wonder if they entertained a lot?

A lot of counter space in the kitchen. I like how light and airy it is.

In the butlers pantry you can see a close up of the backslash. Are you a fan?

The guest bathroom...

And the upstairs hallway
Once again, these floors!

I'm pretty sure I love everything about this master.
The beams, the high ceiling...

The private sitting area...

And we can't overlook this bathroom. Honed limestone, a great bathtub and an open shower (now that is how you do a glass shower).
I've always liked ottomans in bathrooms.

A lucky little girl sleeps in this room.

How pretty is this bathroom? I think pretty is the best word to describe it!
Perfect for a little girl- or an adult.

And the nursery...
notice the wall to wall seagrass

Off of the nursery is this timeless bathroom.

I adore this playroom. It's not full of furniture which leaves the kids plenty of room to play. Also that ceiling- I want one!

I would spend every night out here.
Eric would love to grill and watch t.v. at the same time.

and then there is the pool. Do I even need to say anything about it?

If you don't want to swim, you can hang out here.

See. Told ya!
It's a gorgeous house

I wonder what the new owners have done with it?
I'd love to see this woman's new house.

My Master Bedroom Plan

Today I'm linking up with Design Your Dwelling! From now on, I'll be sharing a new design board every Tuesday!

This week, I decided to make a plan for my master bedroom.

We haven't done ANYTHING to it yet.
There is a funky paneling on the wall that needs to be replaced with drywall and until that happens, I'm not changin' a thing.

It still has a ways to go and there are many details to add but I think it's a pretty good jumping off point!

The room was inspired by this Ballard Designs rug.

There are a lot of DIY projects that I would like to tackle in this room!

Frame intaglios to put beside the t.v.

gold leaf a songe mirror to balance out the window

Be sure to check out these other great boards as well!

SO WHAT! Wednesday

Today I'm saying SO WHAT! to...
  • I've been to Lowe's FOUR times in the past week and have yet to actually complete a project
  • I started my advocare cleanse and cheated on the first day
  • If most waitresses at the Rusty Bucket don't have to ask what I'm drinking- they just bring it
  • they happen to stock Firefly just for me
  •  Yes, it's apparent that I have a southern accent, you don't have to ask me when you hear me talk
  • and yes, we moved to Ohio for the beautiful weather (That's going to be my line from now on)
Now come and link up with us!

So What! Wednesday

This week I'm saying SO WHAT to...

  • This is the first link up I've done.
  • With a woman who I "knew" for months but had never met-until our men started hanging out together
  • I've started a lot of DIY projects and hardly any of them are finished
  • I decided to take down the painted wallpaper in the kitchen last night. Who knows how long the ugglyness behind it will stay up.
  • I haven't started my 10 day cleanse yet.
  • I'm not sure if I can give up coffee and Diet Mountain Dew for that long
  • We had a Super Bowl party and I didn't watch it. I wasn't even sure who SF was at the end of the game.
  • I decided to build a table without Eric knowing...After an hour it was nowhere near complete. He came home and finished it in like 10 minutes.
  • I can't sew so I taped a table skirt onto our new console-post on that later
  • Sometimes I wish I could drink with Kathie Lee & Hoda

Coffee Table Remix

A long time ago I wrote about my $10 coffee table bargain here

Well, we finally got around to finishing it this weekend!

After reading Danika's absolutely, positively GENIUS post
I decided that plexiglass was the way to go.
Plexiglass? I know, sounds crazy. Just wait:)

This is what we started out with:

And this is what we ended up with:

Likey likey? ME too!

It was super easy to do... we spray painted the table gold,
and then followed Danika's instructions for the top.

The cross and heart were made by Barbara Biel- love her pieces!
This is her website.

I have another DIY project to add for the middle of the table but overall,
I think it's looking pretty good!

Speaking of DIY's, we picked up a plastic turtle while getting
spray paint from Hobby Lobby... we got home and painted him gold.

His name is Pete.

Hope you had a great weekend loves!
