A long time ago I wrote about my $10 coffee table bargain here.
Well, we finally got around to finishing it this weekend!
After reading Danika's absolutely, positively GENIUS post,
I decided that plexiglass was the way to go.
Plexiglass? I know, sounds crazy. Just wait:)
This is what we started out with:
And this is what we ended up with:
Likey likey? ME too!
It was super easy to do... we spray painted the table gold,
and then followed Danika's instructions for the top.
I have another DIY project to add for the middle of the table but overall,
I think it's looking pretty good!
Speaking of DIY's, we picked up a plastic turtle while getting
spray paint from Hobby Lobby... we got home and painted him gold.
His name is Pete.
Hope you had a great weekend loves!
Oh my goodness... I love! It turned out amazing!
ReplyDeleteLOOKS AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like a timeless high-end piece ~ great eye! Pete's so cute, too!
ReplyDeletePete is plastic? Seriously? Pretty cool! I love the lines of your coffee table. So handsome with the lipped top, tapered legs on castors, and "x" form stretcher. Looks fabulous!

Fletcher, this is fantastic. Your little guy is too adorable for words. I'm not exactly sure how the plexiglass is on. Just placed on top? I'll go see what Danika said. That is the best $10 I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteThis is SOOO great!!!!!!! Omg. I want to get out the spray paint right now. Fabulous makeover!
