Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary

Fairy, Fairy, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With seersucker bunting, and a little picket fence
and pretty rocks all in a row.

Today we had so much fun with Kendall making fairy gardens! (If you're following me on Instagram, you already know this.)

They were so cute painting each piece and planting the flowers. I should have grabbed enough supplies for Shannon and I to make our own:)
We had just as much fun as they did!

Supplies:
  • a pot (we used terracotta so we could paint it)
  • soil
  • small wooden birdhouse (we got ours from JoAnn's)
  • acrylic paint
  • small picked fence (also from JoAnn's)
  • flower of your choice
  • mini bunting banner
  • glitter(aka fairy dust)

Have the kids paint everything-the pot, the fence, the birdhouse, the rocks
(you could also use seashells, bells, beads-anything really.
Let the paint dry and then let them help you plant the flower and arrange their garden. After that, sprinkle with "fairy dust" dust to attract fairies!

It's that simple!

It's such a fun and easy project!
How cute would this be to do at a birthday party?

What are some fun crafts to do over the summer?
