Last year, along with our siblings, Eric and I hosted a Mother's Day Lunch. We decided to do it again this year- I hope it becomes a tradition! Since, we still have no dining room chairs (like 20 people would fit at the table), we're having it outside. My brother is going to put up a tent with tables and chairs (perks of having a rental business in the fam!).
Here is what I've been thinking:
Should I do one long table or a few round ones? I can't decide! I don't want to go all out and I do want to keep the cost low. Throw me any ideas for decorations!
Oh boy I can't wait. I'm thankful to be a mother in your family! One long table might be fun for a change so we can all sit together. Think Eric's graduation was the only other time we could do it like that.

Um, that menu sounds beyond delicious! Can I come? Ha!
ReplyDeleteOh and I like the idea of one long table. It's always fun to all sit together and everyone is talking and laughing and passing the food around. :) Can't wait to hear how it goes.
Will you please plan the menu for my events this weekend? That all sounds delicious!! I'd go with one long table and do pansies/other flowers in little pots and let each mother take one home as a little gift (decoration plus party favor in one!). Target has such pretty disposable plates right now for a very reasonable price if you don't have enough china or don't want to be that formal. Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
